Buying Washing Machines In Nairobi

On Sunday the 10th of April, I went out with a friend at 2300 to the local Nakumatt on Ngong Road and bought a washing machine. Earlier in the day spoke to Dylan and Ben of KopoKopo – a mobile money integration platform. After a brew looking out over the building works of downtown Nairobi with @alxndrsn we made our way back to Chaka Road with a mattress. Nothing untoward, just two mzungus walking around Nairobi with a king size mattress.

This to me personifies Africa. The experience is always full on and surreal, not to mention @primozkovacic‘s cooking. Sunday morning was spent climbing trees in the Arboretum, Later on today will be off to the iHub, Kenya’s première technology innovation centre to finish writing a paper, tomorrow Kibera, Wednesday Mathare.
